The characteristics of the rocks in rivers are one of the biggest controls on how rivers work!
In this video, we team up with geomorphologist Dr Shasta Marrero and fieldwork specialist Sam Hawkins, to explore how we can investigate this in the field by collecting data on the size and shape of river sediment.
