Carbon is found in all Earth's systems: in the air we breathe, in the ground beneath our feet—it even makes up about 18% of our bodies.

In this video we team up with Dr Tim Lane from Liverpool John Moores University to explore the major stores of carbon on Planet Earth:

• • The water of the hydrosphere
• • The soils of the pedosphere
• • The gases of the atmosphere
