Water on Earth is an abundant and renewable resource. It is so important to human life that, in 2010, the United Nations designated access to water a basic human right! So why is that in 2019, over 1 million people die every year because they do not have access to safe drinking water?
In this video, we team up with Dr Heather Price from the University of Stirling, to explore the challenges to achieving water security. The video covers:
- • The global distribution of water sources
- • Challenges to water security in low and middle income countries (focussing on Malawi)
