Carbon on Earth is found in six major stores: the atmosphere, hydrosphere, pedosphere, biosphere, lithosphere and fossil fuels. But how does carbon move between these stores?

In the previous video we learned about the flow of carbon through the long-term carbon cycle. In this video, again made in collaboration with Dr Angela Gallego-Sala from the University of Exeter, we continue our journey through the carbon cycle, this time looking at the short-term carbon cycle, which moves 100- to 1000-times more carbon than the long-term carbon cycle, and drives all life on Earth.
